Hello from Uganda
…. spent this morning driving from Kabale in the south-eastern part of the country. We have had a great time so far with lots to see – quite a cultural difference. I will tell you all about it when we return to the UK. Sally has seen her sponsor children and she is happy. It is Sunday today and we arrive home Thursday. Keep watching this site for lots of news & pictures. See ya.
Message from Biscarrosse
We are having a great time here at Biscarrosse in south west France. Myra is improving by the day and is strong enough to get out of bed for short periods. She is eating some soup and drinking tea. Dave is pleased with her progress and brings back good news at the end of each day. It was good to see Sara when she came over for a flying visit on Sunday to see her Mum.
We have enjoyed a couple of glorious days and have been cycling to the lake where we saw a Mummy deer and her two young offspring wandering through the forest. Dave thinks they may fall foul of “la chasse” and end up on someone’s dinner table. Quels braves, les francais!
We return on Thursday 9th Aug. See you soon.
A Quote from The Maust Letters
“Jesus is the means by which one enters heaven. We are not free to craft our own way into heaven mainly because heaven is God’s not ours. Similarly, the earth is his and everything in it (Psalm 24:1). Therefore, God sets the rules. Am I pleased with the concept of Hell where sinners are punished for eternity? No, it’s a frightening thought; but I find great comfort in the fact that God has provided a way whereby sinners like myself can escape Hell and enter into eternal communion with him. What a great God that rescues sinners!”

Welcome
Welcome to my new blog. I am still recovering from a very wet weekend at guide camp. It was lots of fun and even though it rained most of the time I still got sunburnt! Scored a bullseye in archery, peddled around a track in little go carts and canoed for a few hours too before the lightning forced us out of the water. Out of 21 girls 14 had never been on guide camp before so it was quite hard work! We also had little 5month old Lucy! Only 5 weeks to go until week camp!
